Child Minder for Groups

Location: Tri-Cities, Ridge Meadows

Position Type: Casual - hourly

Job Summary:

This position provides quality child care for children 0 – 12 years while their parents/caregivers are attending group programs. Parents/caregivers will be in the same building.  Groups are held on an irregular (ie: not ongoing) schedule, in order to meet fluctuating client needs. Program implementation depends on securing funding. Most programs will run during the day Monday to Friday during school hours with some evenings in the Tri-Cities and Ridge Meadows communities.

Family Counsellor

This position also requires computer skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet reporting deadlines. Administrative Coordinator

Job Summary:
Co-ordinates a variety of secretarial, clerical, and reception duties; prepares correspondence, reports, monthly client and staff statistical summaries, and other documents; maintains a variety of personnel, financial, and other records; files using related filing systems and summaries; maintains office machines and telephone system; ensures security monitoring systems are functioning and maintained; program email administrator; updates agency/client/administration forms; co-ordinates program web-based systems and assists with coverage for a community hub. This position is temporary for 3 months with the possibility of an extension.  
 

Family Counsellor

Child and Youth Care Worker

Location: Tri-Cities

Position Type: Casual / Hourly

Job Summary:

This is an hourly position serving clients in the Tri-Cities community. The Child and Youth Care Worker provides one to one support to children and youth with special needs. This is a community access program focusing on functional life skills and community integration. The key purpose is to help the children and youth we serve to improve their quality of life, improved social interaction, increased communication ability and recreation skills with peers; and provide opportunities to develop skills for increased independence in the areas of personal care, home living and community access.

Therapeutic Supervised Access Worker

Location: Vancouver

Position Type: Temporary Vacancy, 20 to 25 hours

Job Summary:

The Therapeutic Supervised Access Worker provides supervision and monitoring for visits between parents and their children where there are concerns for physical, psychological or emotional safety. Visits will take place in the family home, the foster family’s home, or in a program or community setting. Visits could be between one family or with a group of families, if this is appropriate. The Therapeutic Supervised Access Worker will/may provide transportation to and from a visit for children. This position is temporary 20 to 25 hours per week. This position is temporary for 1 year and will be reevaluated prior to the end of the year. This position may be required to work weekends and evenings as well.
