Job Summary

This position will provide support and assistance directly to the Office Manager on-site. Responsibilities include a multitude of duties that ensure that the program sites meet occupational and safety health cleanliness guidelines for both clients and staff as well as administrative duties as required. This position is a temporary vacancy for 1 year and will be reviewed before the end of the year with a possibility of extension.

Location: Vancouver, North Shore, Tri Cities, Ridge Meadows
Position Type: Temporary Vacancy, 35 hours
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with program specific duties.
  • Clean and sanitize play rooms and play therapy rooms including toys on a regular rotating schedule.
  • Replace and repair any damage items on-site.
  • Determine own cleaning schedule and prioritizing of duties depending on room booking schedule.
  • Weekly and Bi-weekly cleaning of vehicles.
  • Assist with picking up snacks for meetings and assist in the set up and clean-up of meetings.
  • Disinfect office phones, door knobs, handles, desks on a weekly basis.
  • Keep weekly logs of cleaning and initial.
  • Perform tasks Quality Assurance tasks including but not limited to organize, clean or discard items.
  • Filing of files and other documents as directed.
  • Conduct any administrative tasks as needed.
  • Participates in regular supervision.
  • Participates in on-going professional development.
  • Assumes additional projects/responsibilities/duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
  • Desire to be part of a team of diverse individuals.
  • Ability to work independently; detail oriented and task focuses.
  • Self-motivated with great problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to other sites as required.
  • Knowledge of Worksafe BC and OHS standards.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check.
  • Maintain privacy and confidentially.
  • Familiar with MS Office.

Start Date: As soon as possible
Position Type: Temporary Vacancy for 1 year, 35 hours per week
Reports to: Director of Development and Communications
Location: Vancouver, North Shore, Tri Cities, Ridge Meadows
Union: This is a union position
Benefits: Casual benefits available upon completion of probation
Salary: Grid Level 10, Step 1, $18.15 per hour
