We have a fee for service program called Family T.I.E.S. which is open to the general public and services offered include: Family Counselling; Clinical Counselling; Mediation; Play Therapy; Parent Child Interaction Therapy; Supervised Access; Community Groups and Education workshops. Westcoast Family Centres is a registered charity offering a range of parenting and family strengthening programs to families throughout the Lower Mainland, since 1984. We are accredited with the Council on Accreditation. http://www.coanet.org

Parents we work with may be dealing with a variety of issues that may make parenting more challenging.

All our programs are client-focused and strength-based. Our highly trained and dedicated staff work with a diverse client group. We individualize services to meet client needs which include family support, counselling; various specialized therapeutic services; supervised visitation; and community groups and workshops.

Most of our referrals are from the Ministry of Children and Family Development. We are funded by MCFD, United Way, foundations, Direct Access grants, and the generosity of private and corporate donors. Some of our programs (i.e. North Shore program) accepts self referrals as well as our community group and workshops are also open to general public.

Unfortunately, no. All of our Programs are open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 4:30pm.

We have multilingual workers, flexible hours and work with families in a variety of ways, including:

  • One-to-one teaching and support
  • Clinical counselling and play therapy
  • Supervised visitation between parents and their children in foster care
  • Education and support groups
