Clinical Internship Program

Our Clinical Internship Program is currently full and we are not currently accepting applications.

Our Clinical Internship Program offers an opportunity for students undergoing their master’s level counselling, child and youth, and social work to complete their required practicum and professional registration requirements. The 6-10 month program is an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience within a strength-based counselling agency.

For more than 15 years, we have worked with students from the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, University of Victoria, Dalhousie University, Yorkville University, and Adler University.

Clinical Interns apply their clinical counselling skills working with children and adults who face various barriers and challenges. Interns are provided with training and experience in evidence based interventions, expressive therapeutic techniques, and other methods. Our practitioners work from a trauma-informed perspective, emphasizing sensitivity, patience, and compassion. Interns are provide training and hand-on-experience with Service Assessment, Service Plans, Comprehensive Reports, and ongoing case documentation.

Our goal is that at the end of the program, students will develop the necessary skills, perspectives, and professionalism as counsellors and therapists.
