Clinical Counselling

Our Clinical Counselling services are person-centred, collaborative, and strength based. At this time, we are only able to support families referred by the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).

Locations Offering This Service

Clinical Counselling for Individuals

Clinical Counselling – available for our referred clients – is led by practitioners who offer individualized counselling services by focusing on one’s capacity for growth and resilience. Our experienced practitioners work collaboratively with family members to provide tailored services to overcome identified challenges in a safe and supportive environment. These services are based on a foundation of evidence and research. We work with children, youth, couples, individuals, and families.

Our Counselling Addresses:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Grief and loss
  • Overwhelming emotions
  • Relationship challenges
  • Separation and divorce

Child Play Therapy

Our practitioners work with children ages 3 – 12 years old to explore their troubling feelings, thoughts, and behaviours by engaging in expressive play in a safe and supportive environment. For children who have experienced stressful or traumatic situations, therapeutic play can activate their innate self-healing abilities and support their growth and development. Play therapy contributes to an individual’s mental, emotional, social, and psychological well-being.

Child Play Therapy Can be Helpful To:

  • Relieve a child from upsetting memories and difficult-to-process feelings.
  • Build confidence and teach children how to positively relate to others.
  • Teach a child how to express feelings appropriately.
  • Build coping & self-regulation skills.
  • Foster a greater awareness and understanding of their experiences.
