Holding Both: Parenting Through Diagnosis

A supportive group for parents and caregivers navigating the emotional landscape of receiving a diagnosis for their child, whether it’s autism, ADHD, a learning difference, or any other developmental, medical, or mental health condition.

Together we will explore the complex feelings that can arise: grief, relief, guilt, confusion, and hope, while building community, sharing stories, and learning tools to support both our children and ourselves.

An educational and supportive group for parents to connect as they navigate the ups and downs of the co-parenting journey.

Through a series of both online and in-person sessions, facilitators invite parents to explore strategies and tools that may enhance communication, reduce conflict, and promote positive outcomes for their children.

Topics explored include:

  • Navigating the New Dynamics
  • Understanding Impacts on Children
  • Child’s Best Interest
  • Effective Communication
  • Self-Care
  • Grief & Loss.

Additional details:

  • Open to ongoing referrals
  • Coffee, tea, & light snacks provided during in-person sessions
  • One-zone bus tickets provided for in-person sessions

The Circle of Security Parenting program aims to help you understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read their needs; while learning how to support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions as well as understanding your parenting struggles and triggers.

Schedule:

  • Pre-registration required.
  • Fridays, Oct. 3 – Nov. 28, 2025,  10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • No session on Oct. 31
